Andreas has been involved in the development of Lustre since its inception. From early prototypes in 2000, before the founding of Cluster File Systems, though Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and Whamcloud over the next fifteen years - Andreas was one of the lead Lustre developers. After Intel's acquisition of Whamcloud in 2012, Andreas moved into the position of Lustre Principal Architect, where he continues to lead Lustre feature development. Andreas studied electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Calgary.
